When Higgie’s came to us, they needed a name and a brand that felt as warm and welcoming as a golden retriever. Inspired by Hygeia, the Greek goddess of health, we helped them land on “Higgie’s”—a name that nods to wellness and the nicknames we give our pets. From there, we developed a visual identity that blends vintage charm with a dash o’ fresh modernity. Drawing inspiration from classic Italian supermarkets and family-run restaurants, the brand is rooted in warmth, quality, and community.
Playful, hand-drawn illustrations—featuring subtle references to Hygeia, including her signature snake—add a touch of mythology and edge, reinforcing the brand’s deep connection to health.To bring it all together, we designed and built their Shopify website, created digital and social assets, and developed signage that makes their storefront feel as inviting as their mission. We also designed merch that pet parents will be proud to wear (almost as proud as they are of their pets). We also captured in-house lifestyle and still-life photography to showcase Higgie’s in their best light—fresh, wholesome, and full of personality. The end result? A brand that feels like home (but with even better treats).
